Valentine One Group Buys
Hi PerthWRX,
I understand forum members here appreciate "Group Buy" prices. I.e. For 10X V1 Detectors. What would you be willing to pay to pick up a Valentine One detector locally, with local warranty? - share your thoughts please & your price. Thank you, RDA |

realistically, if we managed to get 10 @ $475 each posted and direct from the factory....
IMO $520-$550 per unit seems fair, with Australian warranty.

I ordered mine from OS single unit at $450 plus postage.
I'd expect the local delivered price to be the same and might be interested in up to 2 units.

Thanks everyone for your feedback.
The difference between ordering direct from the states and us will be that you get: -fresh stock from Valentine Research -Local AU Warranty (as we have a long standing relationship with our supplier we will swap any faulty V1 units over no hassle) -Local Pickup -Program them for you for best use in WA - you guys would probably know how to anyway "I ordered mine from OS single unit at $450 plus postage." So around $500. How does this sound? (WRX Forum Pricing) 1 Unit @ $550.00ea - pick up 10 Units @ $525.00ea - pick up Delivery of the batch to a Perth address would cost $10.00 *Thought I would add that after our costs involved GST/expenses this is essentially a mates rates price. Are you able to do firmware updates? Recalibration of unit?

With the Valentine One you will find they only do these back at their one location in America. This is a service they charge for to change the hardware on very outdated units usually older than 8-10 years.
You will also find that the V1 is a very solid unit - I still use my revision 3.864 model which is 4 1/2 years old and works just as new. Since then they have come out with the 3.872, 3.891, 3.892 & latest the 3.893 |

I may be in contact to get another unit from you (assuming no group buy).

If you want to find out what revision it is (you may already know this) but you just push in the on button, turn it into the on position while holding it in. All the LED's will light - you then click it once and it will tell you the number. I think yours would be a 3.872 if it is 3 years. |

What is the real world benefit of having a newer software edition? Ie any particular reason you would spend the money to upgrade Andrew if the one you currently own does the job just fine?
