Peerblock replaced peerguardian. So definitely peerblock.

I got a warning a few years back using emule. I switched to torrents and peerguardian and never had one since

Oh yeah I don't use it either, when I said 'me' before I actually meant my friend Basil.

Its more a case of where you gather your backup data from then what you use to control the incoming data.

Anthing thats easily found 'i.e a quick search in google', is usually over exploited.

If you want more anonimity 're: gathing backup data', download via Tor . As the only way they would be able to see whats going on is by having access to both sides of the connection 'which from memory all interwebz servers of any real value are located in the US?'.

Just expect slower speeds due to having to tunnel.

Triangle Boy use to be good, but wouldn't know now as not used it in a looooooooooooooong time, alternately you can borrow a random IP & Port thats available.
