Default 01 headlights swap out to 02 sti HID lights(Jap Spec)

Hey fellas,

So I bought some sti HID headlights and decided to install them but failed due to my lack of knowledge. I'm Looking for someone to install them or even teach me the way of the wrx....... or even throw prices at me.

Cheers

Its not to hard to do. The lights should come off without to much disassembly. The front grille and those 2 plastic inserts either side of the grille need to come out. 3 bolts and the headlight comes out with a mad twisting action.

With regards to the HID. ( assuming your using stock ballasts etc.) Stock location for the ballast is behind the front bumper on the supports.
If your using after market hid kit. Find your low beam wires. Cut the plug, rejoin onto ballast. Cut grommet hole in the back of the lamp cover, fit up & test.

Its a little bit trickier to wire up the jdm 02 hid headlights into the wrx. I have wired mine up befor but the low beam would turn off when the high beams turned on, you should have both low and high beam on at the same time. Solution I bought this CLICK from the land of stars and stripes.

They work like mine. Perfectly. And you dont have to buy $100 globes every year because the ballasts crap out.
