This started out as a stock as a rock MY01 WRX. Just wanted to squeeze some more performance out of her in all areas, get it looking tougher, while maintaining driveability as it's my daily.

Yer not too sure about the white, the silver OEM rims which came with it kinda suited it well. Thinking of spraying them like a darker shade of silver, but not too dark.

He was a pussy and took them out as he claimed they were too harsh. That's what he told me, took them out just before he sold it to me the tosser! Not sure what happened to them. Not sure where he purchased them from, but when i got the box back with my old springs in them, was a note that said 'ALK inside box' .. Not sure if it's King ALK .. Would have to ask him, maybe it isn't, but there is def one fitted as i can see the kit when i look under the front half of the car. |

The struts belomg to Brad Marckovic who lent them to him. When he sold the car they where removed as they didnt belong to him.. :icon_rr:

VF34 on 20 psi only good for 190kw at wheels?
My shitbox had a VF30 (so essentially same turbo) and on 1 bar (so 14.7) it returned 251hp @ the wheels (so virtually 190kw) on a dyno dynamics dyno. |

hows that my gc8 with vf34 207 zorst silicon intake autronic etc etc on 18pounds of boost is making 285HP
and thats on maximum motorsports dyno |
yep i got 281 hp on my old vf34 tune with ecutek & racetorque dyno, 20psi

I dare say a tired motor with 150,000km's is not going to make as much power as a fresh 207.
Do you all have the same heads? Many of variables to consider. Dynos are a tuning tool, it's like using a toilet roll to measure your dick size.. nothing real impressive. |

Can run more than that too. Found that there was no real benefit of running more than that on my setup tho (i.e. 2 bar wasn't yielding enough gains to make it worthwhile). Also, I had a lot of other stuff to back this up, not just plop on a VF34 on a EJ205 spec. |

Would have gone bang by now if it was running lean :) AFR's are good, stock BOV so not rich between changes.

220hp is easily achievable on the TD04 with a good tune and some supporting mods. Thats pretty much (my) limit for the TD04, then you want to look at changing turbo's.
The TD04 is a good turbo for squirting around the streets but it's got nothing up top in 4th. Good luck with your modding. |

Given the fact you've got a tricky gearbox and will probably be getting a kato-spec tune i think it that it will be pretty quick .. |

Been a while since update, so, recent bits are:
JDM 03 STi Defi Cluster Set of RT-615 Semi Slicks Scan Gauge 2 New JDM 02 STi scoop (Painted the scoop fins too, looks great - Cheers to Neil at Unique Automotive Refinishing) New Clutch, Machined flyweel - Gearbox and Diff oils. (Redline Shockproof). Other than that, keeping it regurlarly serviced with all the good stuff and looking after it without skimping on coin. Hasn't missed a beat. Still has the second Verso that Sean and Nick did on it, with same engine mods (260hp). Next major mod will be the 6 speed conversion in a few months. Mods in between: Coilovers? Sway Bars Long term: 207 Engine Still really enjoying the car. |
