Will look into this, is it just the ball joints that I should look into? or should I get the standard tie rod ends?

No H brace installed and end links have been replaced.
Noise is still persistent.

Have a short list of things to inspect, hopefully the culprit is found and resolved.

To have the correct bump steer geometry the tie rods and ball joints need to be changed as a set. However, for the purpose of diagnosing the noise just change the ball joints as they are sometimes the culprit and will not require any re-alignment. If that turns out to be the source of the noise continue with the replacement of the tie rods and adjust alignment to suit, if not revert to the Whiteline products, no align required.

Hey Soksta, I had a mystery clunk that turned out to be the steering rod lock off nut. It hadn't been tightened properly after coilover install/alignment. Was not obvious when I first looked as it had only moved a few mm.

I believe that I still have the OEM bits in the old mans shed.
Will see if they can be dug up and if so, will book the car in for a visit.

The nuts haven't been touched in the better part of 3 years now, will see if I can get under and inspect for tightness, otherwise I'll just get Doug to check it out when we look at the bump steer.

Thanks guys!

I got a clunk last weekend while going over speed bumps. Only at this one fucking carpark in particular though (is Ozzie Park). Hasn't happened on any other speed humps since.. baffling. I'm putting my money on it being the anti lift kit bushings. You didn't put one of those in did you Tony?

After re-reading your first page I doubt I am right as I see you have half the whiteline catalogue under your car...
TROLLEY, Soksta and iMPREZUH like this.

I do that particular part installed.
Hasn't caused me issues to date, but as I stated a few posts before, I have a small list to work my way through and hopefully I should be able to locate the cause of the noise.

Well the noise was there this morning when I pulled out of the garage.

I have two sets of bump steers and tie rod ends, one from the 08 and the other from the 11, does any one know if they have been revised and changed or are they exactly the same?
