Tried my best! Hopefully get him for the one next month.

On another note, I chucked the car on the scales up at Barbs

That’s with about 20lt fuel.

I’ve taken out the U sub frame, crash bar and some rear number supports. I think I need to attack the doors to start pulling anymore weight out?

Belt sander for the win!

Does the car feel any different with the sub frame gone, besides the weight?

Cheers.

Yep, the fist few hundred meters had 2 chicanes and a 90deg turn which seemed a bit excessive!

So as discussed lately, car needs a diet.
Decided to get some practice on the grinder via the boot.

Had some white enamel spray paint on the shelf, no where near the match but looked tidier than the bare metal, got some pinch edging from Clark rubber so I don’t slash the arms getting stuff out of the boot.

Also removed all the boot lift springs and unnecessary brackets.

Dropped about 3kgs, not much reward for effort but I think that’s going to be the running theme from here.
nauli and Dan [GTI] like this.
