I had my HSD coilovers installed and wheels aligned by Wheels World. To date I have had zero issues, knocking off any sort or unusual tyre wear. Choose your installer wisely.

Evo R did the original install, and STechnic have set them up twice now since then. I'm aware that coilovers make noise under normal operation, and I'm cool with that, but loosening themselves every few months isn't really acceptable in my book. I'll flick Mao a pm when I'm next in Perth and see what he recommends.

Anyway, I didn't mean for it to sound bitchy. I'm sure Mao's products are great in the drifting world an all, but on potholed Perth roads they seem to suffer a bit.

Also bear in mind I work away, so 3-4 calendar months only equates to 6-8 weeks of actual drive time...that's the bit that concerns me!

Wheels World and STechnic are the only guys I would list as suspension installation workshops purely because they are the only two I have used.

Both are fantastic. S-Technic installed my second hand cusco's 2E's. Not a problem to date except there was slightly more wiring than in all of Japan to hook up.

Ryan, check with STD about that issue, maybe faulty set/strut? They must still be under warranty, possible to send them back for a new set. That or save the extra pennies for some Tein Super Streets and never look back.

sounds like a problem in the strut top, the rose joint is seizing /stuck so when you turn the wheel the bottom comes undone

had this problem with my racing-logics, backed the top nut off a tad & kept the ball joint lubed and it never happened again

I would take the car back to the original workshop and get them to fix the issue. If you continue to have issues I would suggest getting said workshop to return your money and then use that money to buy yourself a better set. No way they should be coming loose like that.

Hope you get it sorted Ryan!
