Soooooo

I went back to the dyno today at Evolution R. The car was good on the dyno, although I was nervous (& over caffeinated) when I put it on the dyno this morning. Once Warick has got the fuel table sorted, it was time for some power runs & was so relieved once the first one was completed & nothing came out of the block. To say I was fearful of something else breaking is an understatement.

So much love for both the tuner & builder, everything went really well. The car only made similar power to what it made last time, although this time I added another 3lb of boost as I only got to 460hp on Evo R's dyno with the same boost pressure as I made 500 on the other dyno. Different dyno, different day I guess. I also did not rev it as hard as before, again, both a fear of something breaking & a sensible allowance, for the new (74km) engine to bed in a little better.

Needless to say, I was disappointed to put more pressure in, to only retrieve the same power figures....Meh who cares, I thought, until the drive home, a guy on a 600cc (I think, it had a wide rear tyre) bike pulls up next to me & starts talking about how I must get picked on by the cops for the large tyres.....Blah, blah.. His mate has an Evo, that is done up like my car & almost keeps up with him on the bike...... He let me go in front of him once the lights turned green & I thought now might be a good time to test out the new tune. He remained in my rear view & the dot get kept getting smaller....

The car is nuts, so, so much quicker than it was on the last tune.... So happy. Huge thanks to Ray for putting the puzzle back together, after breaking it & Warick & Mao for the tuning today.

Burke, I got 2 new pumps as I could not be convinced which one was stuffed. What was funny though, is when I swapped the fuel filter out on Monday, only to find pieces of copper & a filthy filter. I'll drop you pump back off & have a couple of your female variety alcoholic beverages once I get back from work in a week

Tran, sure man no worries, no seats in the back means you should be able to get at least 6, maybe 7 in the back? Do you need to borrow my baseball bat & chloroform also?
