Change of engine number form only requires RAC Horsepower. As Jester said, if both engines are 2 litre with the same configuration (bore & stroke) then they will have the same RAC horsepower figure.
Insurance however will be a different story!

I get the impression Cat's bike will be the daily and the red STi will be mostly a weekend warrior for fun on the track? If so, insurance won't matter.

Saw your car down there while mine was getting done - bit disappointing 7-10 days is now looking more like a month for you, but it's all worth it in the end!

On the change of engine number paperwork i recently did for my conversion it states that if there is any increase in horsepower = pits,
also if going n/a to turbo = pits.
So unless you want to lie twice, and hope the paper-pusher's at the department of transport don't look into engine numbers(which will give away the fact you changed to a forced induction engine) then just lodge change of engine number paperwork.

If you want it done properly and are willing to fork out $60- book into Autopower Joondalup and tell them you've done a conversion and need to get it registered as such. They'll do an inspection (mine wasn't as thorough as a full pit's inspection) they basically make sure everything is where it needs to be and isn't unsafe. And they do all the paperwork for you.

Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with what she does, the ability to discuss, compare, criticise and congratulate is the whole purpose of a public forum, and it would cease to exist without it. It's like the Facebook of cars where people can get feedback. Cat is free to do what she likes with her car, and people are free to say what they want about it, it's whether it is taken to heart or shrugged off. As Saddam said "Hey relax guy".
