So do JWS take the car over the pits to ensure the conversion is 100% OK or is that left to you as the owner Cat? And what is the procedure for informing the Dep Of Trans about what you have done to the car so they can adjust their records accordingly and increase your rego no doubt. It's probably good information for anyone else thinking about doing their own conversion versus having a conversion done - its all the little things that begin to add up....

And as a p-plater, will your insurance company still cover you (I'm assuming at a massive price hike!)? I know back in the early days insuring a "grey import" (180SX) was a bloody pain in the ass and I wasn't even a p-plater........fairly run of the mill these days though.

If engine displacement hasn't changed (I'm assuming her RX is a 2.0) then all she needs to do is complete the change of engine form so the DPI has an up to date copy of her engine number, then when the cops pull her over for a "random drug test" because they claim 60 in a 60 zone is speeding and 3 cops jump out of the cop car and pour over her car with flashlights claiming its stolen, the engine and VIN all match whats on record and they can go eat a dick.

Go on, ask me how I know.

Probably about the same sort of time an SV6 commo etc would run.

Its a 250, it aint going to wow you but kudos for taking it down all the same. Do some Trackdays on it, will have a lot more fun than taking it to the plex.

Jealousy?

Thats the longest bow Ive ever seen drawn

PS your rego papers say Subaru Sedan - they have no idea if it was originally rx, gx, lx, wrx, sti, s201, blah blah blah.

Engine swap paperwork will need to be done.

N/A --> Forced induction = more than merely notifying of engine number change.
