260-270HP @ Wheels with decent torque would be a realistic figure on safe boost. It is still going to be a quick car though Best of luck with the conversion!

You go from a RX to a WRX and I bet you think its a fast car
It may not be fast but it will still be quick and nippy! A WRX isn't a slouch by most standards. If it get's a tune with a bigger turbo it will be a nice little package.

But anyway this is just a good base to start with and i will build from that. Ha i'll make it a fast car just give me time and soon i'll experience hitting "boost" and "turbo lag" because i'll actually have a turbo

Haha what a waste of time to do a forrie build. It isn't a real sti even. Pretty much a tuned by sti. Ie a 205 engine, td04, crappy 5 speed. Should have gotten the $10k 02 sti cut.

So its 6k to make it a stock wrx.. the turbo etc, 6 speed, and brembos is another 10-12k... suddenly thats 04 sti territory.
Sigh.

I'll take all the STI Goodies. (207, Brembo, avacs, 6 speed and interior) and it's potential over a clapped out faded RX/WRX Frankenstein any day. All props to Cat, she has my respect for sticking to her guns and I hope it turns out to be a monster. But from speaking from experience, she should have started with a better base or choice of transplant. |
