Yeah, 300HP @ Flywheel is possible with a VF34.

260-270HP @ Wheels with decent torque would be a realistic figure on safe boost.

It is still going to be a quick car though Best of luck with the conversion!

You go from a RX to a WRX and I bet you think its a fast car

It may not be fast but it will still be quick and nippy! A WRX isn't a slouch by most standards.

If it get's a tune with a bigger turbo it will be a nice little package.

Just a few people at cruises giving advice maybe they did mean at the flywheel

But anyway this is just a good base to start with and i will build from that.

Ha i'll make it a fast car just give me time and soon i'll experience hitting "boost" and "turbo lag" because i'll actually have a turbo

Haha what a waste of time to do a forrie build. It isn't a real sti even. Pretty much a tuned by sti. Ie a 205 engine, td04, crappy 5 speed. Should have gotten the $10k 02 sti cut.

I am getting that with a fair bit of boost but I am afraid to push it more than I am now

I think EVERYONE has made some silly finacial decisions with their car. It is almost a right of passage into the car scene

Sigh.

Ha, It's an acquired taste I'll grant you, but they do grow on you.
I'll take all the STI Goodies. (207, Brembo, avacs, 6 speed and interior) and it's potential over a clapped out faded RX/WRX Frankenstein any day.

All props to Cat, she has my respect for sticking to her guns and I hope it turns out to be a monster. But from speaking from experience, she should have started with a better base or choice of transplant.
