Thanks mate. I have refrained from posting a few things that are purely Mazda related but thought that any car people are interested in tuning and power

Always interested in what others are doing with their cars. Great way to learn about things that we may not have first hand experience with. Whatever the platform. Like you work so far.

I'd be interested to see how well the virtual plots stack up to a real dyno though. Particularly with respect to torque. I was messing around with Virtual Dyno myself using data logs from the Hondata, however couldn't get it to make any sense. Yours seems to be in the right ball park.

I can't take the credit for the VD. That is Ray (tuner) who has been doing this for a while.

Needs the gearbox ratios (per gear), tyre ratio (rolling radius), weight (including driver & fuel) and then you input the ECU DATA (boost, rpm, vehicle speed, air-fuel ratio, etc) and it spits that nice graph out.

Luckily for him he only does MPS tuning so there is only 3 combos that he has to input into the VD.

So this is at wheels, at hubs? Based on temperature, etc?

Purely a query and not skepticism by the way.

It is at the wheels. The VD does factor temperature (Ambient Temp, Intake Temp, Boost Air Temp) into the equation, luckily all my logs have been done in the 19-23*c range so it is consistent.

Factory LSD is still more then enough for this car... The tyres could do with an R-Comp upgrade

What sort of 1/4 mile time does the car do Dan? Just trying to figure out how the 200kw equates to real time speed.

I'd say sub 14 or there abouts.

With a stock car I did 13.8 then with a OTS1 tune I did a 13.7 with chronic wheel spin (shitty stock tyres). The day I went with the OTS2 tune the fuel pump died.

It should be a low 13 with decent traction. Not sure how much traction these street tyres will give. The one thing I am sure about is that a street tyre MPS3 won't be hitting a 12.XX easily, will need more grip (drag radials) for that.
DukeDrifter and thehowlfactor like this.
