Agree Mark, but the amount of timing pulled, should be enough to bring the engine load down enough, so that as it doesn't need to drop the limiter. Rev limiters are bad, in the sense that they unload the entire engine with quite a lot of force.
Also Craig, out of interest, what quantities of oil are you getting in the catch can after your runs?

I call it rev limiter Simon, but it is in fact a timin pull back, just kinda feels like its hitting rev limiter, especially when your trying to chase down people!
I had in fact a cheap ebay radiator and it couldnt do its job. Im going back to OEM as its a 08 sti engine with exact same hose fitout as the 06 sti that it came from. It was actually one of the coolest feelings in the world! especially cause i got to overtake someone aswell, and bring hte car back in one piece! very happy. oh and i get a minimal amount of blow by in the catch can (less than a teaspoon)

Minimal blow by is a good thing man. Robbie, Geoff & myself have all had some hurdles to get over in terms of blow by.
Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but how are you reading the engine temp? External gauges? Also, how did you find the Hankooks?

Wire the fans to run them all the time ?
By the time they kick it in it might be too late to manage temps.

Temps via ECU then shown on aim dash.
Hankooks were good but had some funny wear on the sides. Phoned Hankook Motorsport in Sydney and got some answers. Was running them a touch too cold according to them. Should be 34/35 hot not the 30/32 I had them. Radiator is in and fans I'm picking up tomorrow. See how it goes then!

Yeah I found the same with the tyres, around 30 cold is best for me, always aiming for 33 - 34 hot.
Let us know how it goes with the new radiator, will be interesting to see how it goes & the difference it makes

Ran 7 hard laps at barb on Thursday arvo and didn't get above 91 degrees... So stoked.
Down side one of my tyres has de laminated and have no brake pads left on the fronts...
