Much better now, the gold was nice but did not suit the car.

The best bit is that when you do the math, these only cost me $100 once you work out the buying and selling.

I thought those rims looked pretty ace, but Enkei's are a classic.

Slightly off topic, but why are EVO's always overpriced? Especially when compared to an STi of similar vintage. Are they rarer or something? I've always had a soft spot for em!

There is a much smaller number of EVO's in Perth, plus they don't usually have high mileage. It's basic supply and demand, it's not a rare car, just uncommon.

So decided today was the day the banner came off and thanks to the car being garaged and 3M vinyl it peeled off without too much fuss.

Importantly there was no surprises under the banner and a good polish (and image filter) later it looks stock and clean.

Next will be new boot carpet (MatCraft again), BREMBO brakes will be repainted and a PLAZMAMAN intercooler hard piping kit.

So gave the car another wash and I am 100% the banner is gone, car looks much more sleek now.

I also hit up MATCRAFT for a complete set of new mats, only set me back $80 and took 3 days. I only have the masonite board (that covers the spare wheel) carpet in the boot and all the mats / carpet have been replaced.

Finally decided what colour I want to paint my brake calipers, a nice simple silver to compliment the simple white exterior. While I am in a painting mood I will be painting the rocker cover, exhaust manifold shield, cold side intercooler piping and I will buy PLAZMAMAN hot side intercooler piping to replace the small diameter stock piping.

Thanks mate. It was a little expensive for a VII but in the context of the mods, condition and mileage it is deffinetly a bargain.

It has been a while between updates, but not much has changed. Car was serviced, no surprises lurking there but decided to finally tidy the car up over the next few days, so dusted off the wallet and purchased my supplies.

So here is my 'to do' list:

- Straighten the intercooler fins before giving it a light coat of flat black paint and polish the factory hard piping.
- Repaint the exhaust manifold heat shield in gloss black and stick some Reflect-a-Gold on the underside to keep the rocker cover paint from melting off like the factory paint.
- Repaint all the bumper mesh in gloss black.
- Repaint the bonnet vent blanking plate gloss black.

- Repaint the rocker cover in red crinkle paint, bit of a homage to my Honda DC2 Integra.

-Repaint the calipers in gloss black and lay on some new high temp decals.

- Fit my new KSP carbon fibre bumper shield to add street cred, racecar points but importantly clean up the melted corner of the bumper. I bent the exhaust hanger so it sits further from the bumper too.
