That's what I figured, just thought I'd check. Thanks as always.

How long will a power fc hold its memory with a battery disconnected?
Got one in the RS that I am helping to fix and it has had no battery for months, possibly over a year. |

I think it'll be fine "forever" Corrie. The standard tune they have on them from the factory is still there when it makes it to the consumer. And that could be years.
That's my thinking anyway.

Sweet. This was my thoughts also. Just a matter now of finding out if it has ever actually been tuned. On the upside it is a power fc pro.

Question/answer time: I'm looking at getting a 207 and shoving it into the 99, but from what I know a PFC works only on gc8's. Is this from the motor side of things, or from the chassis for some reason? Don't really want to change from the PFC as I don't have any qualms with it, but would I have to keep my 99 heads or something like that, or would it be possible to run a 207 with matching heads and all the other fruit?

Power FC's designed for GC's wiring harness. This will not change with a 207. PFC will be fine.

No plans on doing that, other than changing the crank and cam sensor plugs back around. (Needed to be done to work on 205)

Pretty sure you still leave them crossed over at the ECU as they're to do with the ADM immobiliser...
Which doesn't change with a 205/207 swap.
