A change in direction...

Instead of clogging up my driveway thread with unecessary garbage I have decided to make a blog...to clog with unecessary garbage.
So after much thinking and working out costs vs gains vs purpose I realise that trying to upgrade the piggy any further (mechanically) would not be very good for what I want to do.
What I want to start doing is learning how to drive and improving my car control and adding more power isn't going to help me one bit. I cannot do that with the piggy as it is and always has been mainly a daily drive with track work being second.
So, the new plan is to complete the piggy with a few final touches but also purchase an older GC8 (MY99) or GD WRX (MY04) to improve my driving. The GC/GD would also eventually see some mods. I am not intending to do any sort of active competition just yet, I just want to learn how to drive the damn thing quick (read: execute some smashing 4WD powerslides).
So the last few mods on the MY06 will be:
SSR Type F matte black wheels
Project Kics revo R40 neochrome wheel nuts
Alpine Type S 10" subwoofer + dynamat
Enjoy the dak dak and doof doof

running two cars should only happen if you can afford it. realisticly buy a bunky (less than 2k) drive that and leave the piggy for fun occasions. the set up in the piggy should be optimal for what you want/need. remember 2 cars is 2 regos, 2 insurance, petrol, servicing etc.
only reason i can do what i do is because i have a fully maintained ute at my disposal 24/7.
mods look tidy though. should just about put the finishing touches on it now :-)Posted 01-01-2012 at 07:36 PM by Master D -
I mean in the future guys. Nothing now while im at Uni. Sorry for the confusion, I should have clarified that a bit better
2 cars is a big commitment in more ways than one, a commitment I cannot afford at the moment, but once I am done studying we will see what I have to work with.
Just saving pennies now (may even skip the wheels and just get a little subwoofer for the piggy), drive it to uni/work, give it a little go on the skidpan and barbs now and again.Posted 01-01-2012 at 10:22 PM by monkeee
