Nah northwest of mindarie, not very farout either. Just behind 3 mile reef, about 18-25m's depth. In january they will be on the move to deeper waters. will need to head out 8-12 mile i'd say.

Had good fortune here last season, and seems to have delivered again this year.

Yep 24 possession limit - What was I thinking! haha

Grape: I wasn't having a go btw, I'd just hate to see someone lose their car, boat etc.

My dad & I did 20 odd seasons out of Hillarys before he passed away. I'm diving for them now, everyone likes a Cray for Chrissy!

It's a cracker of a season - the boat I was on last Saturday returned 42 sized crays over the 24 limit......All from a depth of 20-22 metres off Mindarie.

They're everywhere at the moment and they're done moulting........Moving on out real soon.

My experience with catching crays is pretty minimal, but when you head 8+ mile out roughly how many feet of water would you be in, are you using winches at that depth?

Can't speak for catching crays, but 10~15km out from Mindarie should hit roughly 30m below sea level Marc. You're still this side of Rottness, where it drops away fairly steadily afterwards down to 80 something metres in some places.
mARC and grape juice like this.

Pretty spot on.

Out of mindarie/two rocks where we usually go its a bit more of a steady drop off. We pretty much use the cray winch at any depth, some of our pro pot's weigh a fair bit especially when full of crays.

And your right rossco they are thick of late. I think it was tuesday when we pulled a pot with 62 in it and the other 2 have atleast 20 each. We threw the pots back with 60 sized crays in them. They are starting to thin a bit though, we'll probably take a few weeks break over chrissy bring our pots back in then head out in Jan to about 35-40m's down.

I must have missed how this all started, but why is catching a shit-load of crays in the complaints section?

Subaru Osborne Park...they reckon I have to take the car specifically to osborne park or I'll void warranty. Can't even take it to melville subaru around the corner. Fuck you osborne park, lost a customer for life. Fuckwits.

No you don't have to take it to Osborne Park...you can go to Melville Subaru or even take it to Maximum Motorsport for servicing and your warranty is intact...

What Nauli said UNLESS it is one of those stupid extended warranties that you paid for on a used car, which aren't worth the paper they are printed on, and they do enforce the bringing it to their dealership for servicing. However, new car warranty period DOES NOT require dealer specific servicing.
