Apparently MY06 WRX is a 2.5 as well. The STi is a definite.

in short, the oil burner 2.5 forrestor xt motor in the wrx and a piston popper 2.5 in the sti

wonder when the "new" impreza will be coming out? We have had the basic bygeye since late 2000 now, they kept the classic shape from MY94 to MY00 and we have had the MY01 to MY06. So the MY08 might be something totally new..

MY06 sti is nice, the WRX looks a bit ghey, sure the 2.5 will be a torquey motor and probably go well with all VF series turbo's.

Whats the most boost the yanks have run daily in the 2.5? I always feel gyped when I see a 7000rpm limit in the rex, a 7200 limit in the Aust spec 2.0 sti, a 7000rpm limit in the 2.5 sti and a 7800 limit in the JDM 2.0sti.

if you want a 9k limit go buy an S2000

oh yeah you actually do get some torque around 6500 on those puppys

So Tuna tell us why your so against the new 2.5L??

Im listening to reason as im considering ugrading from the V5.. Seems like the only logical move up in power/torque.
