Totally agree about the defensive driving course.

Unfortunally here in Australia they teach you simply to PASS your test to get your lisense, still feel as though you never really get taught how to drive. Very unlucky in the sense you still hit stuff, but lucky in the minor damage caused.

My only word of advice.. any time you feel as though you're about panic.. use TWO feet.. mash the clutch and brake and hold on.. let the car do the rest!

Its got nothing to do with power levels, especially when doing 20kmh.

Sorry to hear about the accident, you ok, learn from it. They wont write that off.

Sorry about the crash. I don't want to sound like I am having a go at you, but if you're going to panic and hit the accelerator instead of the brake you really shouldn't be driving a high powered car. It really makes you a liability on the road to yourself and to others. What happens if a little kid runs out in front of you and you panic again? Do the course.

Power to weight?

Power spike when boost comes on..?

Easy to snap out rear end with any sign of wetness with a turbo powered car with any bias to the rear..

Yeah but WRX's are heavily biased to the front .... why do you think they are so inclined to understeer?

They also weigh less Adz, so they are easily to handle when they do go silly. We arnt talking about acceleration figures, the accident was low low speed. Id rather have to catch a 1400kg WRX then a 1850kg whale VE in a tank slapper A WRX also has better brakes to pull it up. Having a turbo in the wet is ok if you drive to suit.. bring it only boost gently and its fine. Almost better then a 6l thong slapper with instant low rpm torque I would say.

The statement made was that you shouldnt let inexperienced people in high powered cars. My simple point was that it has nothing to do with power. People are blaming the lowest common denominator for no real reasons.

today i floored it in second and about half way through rev range the back wheels started spinning and rear end came out wasnt expected, its easy to get the rear out on a wrx, Maybe she lift off oversteered? I dont see another way how the rear would come out if she wasnt hard on the gas.
