If not, then i wouldn't be smashing the drive train with a launch at 6000rpm with all that power, as it might not end well....

Of course i launced it.. Launch control worked perfectly 6000rpm and around 1.2 bar of boost. very consistent also which makes it all the better. I might just have to see how this goes at the drags now..

I was having issues with the GoPro But got one run.. Flames were pretty damn decent some have more than just a pop but afterburner type of effect. I wonder how itll look with some antilag thrown in for good measure

Update from last night rallysprint 15/03/2012:

So this was my first time at this event or any event of this nature. The course is pretty tight in alot of places so very little room for error as was evident from an evo10 smashing the whole side of the car along a concrete barrier and a r34 GTR loosing it on the first corner going straight over a curb and permapole destroying the whole front...

I have got the launch control setup pretty well 6000rpm at around 1.2 bar boost can get more boost out of it if i press harder on the accelerator peddle but i found i got off the line nicely and not bogged down. Should have an external video of my launch to upload..

First run was 2.45 merely a shakedown. lots of improvements

Second run was a 2.49 with a massive off leading onto the back drag strip i was still a little bit crossed up got on the power a little bit too early and the whole rear spun me around i litteraly ended up 10cm infront of a concrete barrier. Although i was driving fairly conservatively i still got bit in the arse..

Third run was much better netted a 2.36 with still a fair bit of improvements i still dont really know the course nor the braking capabilities of the car..

Fourth run went much much better until i overshot the entrance from the drag strip to the burnout pad (this cost me around 6 secs from the video) but i still ended up with a time of 2.37 so theres an easy 2.30 in it and probaly more once i start getting familiar with the car..

To note the top drivers only 3-4 were in the high teens and the good drivers around 2.25-2.30. However most of those drivers are at the limit and it wouldn’t be the end of the world if they binned it into something. So im pretty happy with my first time on a course that I have never driven before.

But overall the car performed brilliantly and felt really balanced coming out of the corners. I think with the additional of a bigger rear wing will help out alot more also. So this will probaly be the only change to the setup..

I have a few different go pro angles to upload at some stage and it shows really how little room there is on the course very narrow in a few sections..

Hopefully some better pics to come:

Thanks guys i do really think theres an easy 2.25 in this setup which is pretty good imo for a car thats not really suited to the small twisty bits which this course has alot of. I do gobble up a fair bit of time on the straights though
