finer/denser/ different filter media
higher flow higher bypass valve pressure Silicone internal/external seals Thicker filter cannister It weighs about twice as much as new Ryco Z495 or Z436's.

it wouldn't be quiet no, as to how loud that's anyones guess. my personal belief is that you can never compromise on your fueling needs and purpose built racing fuel pumps is a step in the right direction for a build of this nature. this is where the americans have the upper edge, with products like weldon, magnafuel and aeromotive to name a few.
least tino went some klushman racing fuel filters straight from the us of a so his half way there! |

Design is simple in my opinion. Im going to put a pressure sensor to monitior any pressure drop off in case a pump did fail. But yes a single pump would have worked. If i hadnt gone for the PW setup and went for the boot install then i would have got an aeromotive 1000 pump, but alas i have twin pumps which look cool... hahaha

that'snot a genuine 1000hp pump..Nathan found that out with the brumby..he went to the 2000 and then ditched then for the mechanical pump.

Update 17.12.2009
Fuel system is taking shape. Aluminium cover has been put in and Surge tank mounted. Brackets for the fuel filters have been sorted. Now just need to assemble it all. Note all those fittings sticking out are just for getting the fitment correct. They will all replaced with rivnuts and allen key bolts. The alluminium cover is made in two pieces so theres access to the main fuel tank pump. Also covers have been made for the turbo and heat shield for the sump. Still on tender hooks for making MOV but will see.
