you could just have the hats for the ra-r rotors redrilled to 5x100pcd between the existing holes.
I have seen some after market replacement rotors for the brembo equipped gdb's with both the 100 and 114.3 pcd patterns. (I think they were a well known Japanese brand, the name eludes me at the moment.) there should not be any strength issues with redrilling the hats as many wheels have a void area on the back of the mounting flange between the mounting holes, and therefore have no clamping affect holding the hats to the hubs. (an example of such wheels would be the ra-r wheels themselves). I make this suggestion as it would be unlikely for you to find a hat with 114.3 pcd which has the correct offset (to mount the rotor in the right position in relation to the hub), the correct pcd and bolt spacing to attach the rotor to, and the correct sized centre bore to locate properly on the hub.

Geoff Nichol has a great range, and you could be lucky and find a hat with right offset, rotor pcd, hub pcd and centre bore.
but, I think it would be unlikely to find all four of those requirements in an off the shelf part.

Tino, it isn't a problem to get a set of 100 PCD holes drilled in 114.3hats....MMS can do it for you...they did a set for me recently. May be the simplest and cheapest option in the short term.

ditto on the redrilling, seen it done a few times, even on stock rotors, although i've only seen this done on the rears normally.

I have spoken to V-sport which have spoken to brembo and they have said that you can redrill the rotors as there is alot of meat between the holes to do so without affecting the structural integrity.
I was thinking about doing the hub swap for two reasons: 1. Stonger bearings 2. Wheel choice Now is point 1 an important issue? If not then i will just get the hats redrilled rather than go the added expense of 1. Buying new hubs 2. Modifying front suspension to accept new hubs 3. Getting new rear rotors to suit new hubs Point 2 is not important and is just a bonus if i switch out hubs.

The reason Subaru went to bigger bearings for the STI was that previously they were a bit of a weakness in competition applications (read mainly gravel rallying). The 114.3 was to suit.
Saying that, I never had a bearing failure on any of my previous cars (except for a front retainer nut coming loose on the MY02)....but they were road cars that did some competition. Is the cost of changing worth it...that's up to you Wheel choice...well that's up to you too, but there are plenty of 100's around... Initially I would drill the holes and see how it goes.
