I can't believe I am reading this.

Sell RComp tyres back to MMS and get some that you can fit.

Plenty of people have done mods to suspension but why make the final piece just a little bit dodgy???

Drive.....wait...save...drive more...do it once and do it properly

just get some stock sti rims and put your rubber on those. I don't see the issue really, you're just trying to make things as complicated as possible

^^^

Fail dont clear 6pots...

I cant see how its dodgy, will take to LF and see what they will do. They will only do it if theres no structural percussions. So if they are happy to make it work then it will work..

have you tried to contact an ohlins dealer/serviceman to see iif there is any possibility of buying a pair of outer housings to suit your model coilovers, but suited to the 05-07 sti hubs?

No not yet. I just got Terrys 05hubs and knuckles to see what can be done and compared it to 04 WRX struts. We are thinking that we can off centre the holes on the strut enough to make it work without having to weld brackets on etc.

But will go to LF tomorrow with my ohlins and see what they have to say.. If that cant be achieved then ill stick with the 5x100...

As Jeff said, much like DMS carry every single part as a spare, surely the Ohlins could be rebuilt with 05 hub shit?

Good luck trying to find Öhlins dealers in Australia.. Just a pity no one deals/knows about them apart from the bike/off road scene.

Unless Tino can speak Swedish and Japanese??

Yup very hard to do. Was speaking to Pete Wilkinson and he said that Japanese ohlins are different to Swedish ohlins. So not that simple. Plus the 05 ohlins have a thread on the strut and i think have different internals as they are teh FPV rather than teh PCV that i have..

In any case i think the slip hole on the struts will work perfectly and negate having to weld anything, and not weaken the structures... But finding out today whether this is achieveable..
