So have a bit of a dilema..

I have been trimming the PROVA front bar to fit and have had to remove the brake ducts as they were fouling my oil coolers.. I was going to get these re-moulded so it will still keep the look of the bar..

I was about to cut the inner dam so i can let air into each oil cooler then i saw the super taikyu sticker and wondered whether or not i should be trimming this part of the front bar?

I will never be using this front bar on the track as i think its too precious to destroy so i have figured maybe i should leave that part as it is as the oil coolers arent neccessary during normally commuting. But would trimming (blue line) actually ruin the look of the bumper??

However additionally, the dilema is that will i still loose the history of this bar by removing the stickers and painting it blue? So then i should just make it to suit my car and not worry about the history of it?

WRC bar second hand:

Prova front bar:

Where i wanted to trim:

Super taikyu sticker that has got me sentimental:

Carbon diffuser undertray for those that asked what it looked like:

Just fucken Dremel (TM) it already... + 1,000,000.

Your car 'was' an Sti when it left the factory too... and how many Sti bits are left....???

No time for sentiment. (You're talking about a 600hp race car, albeit with a fancy interior for some reason). Remove the rear pew, half-cage it, (with bolt in front bars for track days), paint it one colour, and enjoy the fruits of your hard earned... and many years of build.

Brent.

I still heart ya.

Don't chop it. Fuck the oil coolers, let them get hot. There will be enough radiation from them even in half stagnant air for the purpose they do.

That's my 2c

Fuck the stickers too, you can get them redone if you need to later.

^^^

whs

Get a letter of authenticity for the part, don't chop into the bumper, and get the stickers redone when/if you care to. Alternately make your own fiberglass mold and modify it to your hearts content?

Also pics of front end with bonnet up and bumper off!

(that just doesn't sound right )

Yeh i have taken pictures of all the stickers so can get them redone if i so wish...

But i think trimming the bar to suit the oil coolers wont change away from the look of the bar i dont think also??

Lol no authenicity letter id doubt i can get one, considering these parts were never supposed to be for sale.. ahahahah

Nah dont need another bumper 4 is enough... hahah

If i paint the bar then it looses its heritage in any case so thats why im thinking i can do whatever will make it look right and be functional..

ive got pics of front end with bumper off, you want to see again??
