hi all,

sorry to hijack your thread rich but i really didnt want to start another. just looking for some advice.

i know it comes down to preference alot of the time. but i am debating between 2 turbos at the moment. the car has a 2.5 motor and i am wanting to know whether i should go for the AVO 450 or the FPGreen. i had the FPGreen on my 2.0l and it went very hard. so i would like to hear your feedback. also can someone tell me what hp the AVO is rated at?? i think the FPGreen is like 600hp.

thanks
michael

Mate check over at rexnet. Over east seem to love the AVO's over there. Always putting out some decent figures.

FP Green is only if you're going to run 25+ psi.

TD06-20G ftw - Very small lag on a 2.5. They are good for around 350ish HP, go the FPG if you want more.

Glued it in, so you get a good seal still.
Simple and effective for checking the outlet charge temp at least.
I'm gonna be sticking with the OE STi TMIC with my 34 and see how it goes. Don't really intend on putting a FMIC on.
You don't have to look that far...For $150 I used the AVO TB pipe and Jaycar Temp Sensor Kit. The $49 Jaycar kit has built in alarms that beep at whatever temps you need a warning at. Inlets never get over 50degC in competition with water spray and fat MRT B&P TMIC.

Paid $792.00 at my mech for the following:

Turbo Change
Oil/Filter Change
Fit new brake pads
4x Injector cleans + install
Fitment and configure of waterspray

8Hrs @ $75.00p/h
$30 per injector for clean/flow test

Probably could have got cheaper elsewhere, but the quality of work is fantastic and you cannot even tell the waterspray is there, setup with hobbs pressure switch @ 13psi engagement.

Had to order the STi waterspray nozzle though, as thats the only one which fits nicely into the STi splitter.

1Hr ($250) worth of dyno time at asg.

I supplied all the parts.
