Nice of you to elaborate on what your doing you joker. Not everybody is thick enough to follow the NASIOC train of thought.

you need to be on boost to open the wastegate.... 8psi still kills engines with 30 degrees advance.

I think the $:hp gains could be spent better else where, especially with a tmic and small turbo. Injection is good for reducing the risk of detonation but I think relying on it as a stepping stone to more power is a disaster waiting to happen. I think your majorly over engineering a mediocre solution.

Not neccesarily over engineering.
My point is clear, i didnt want a fmic. I didnt see it necessary to spend $1000 on a quality aftermarket tmic when the sti one is just good.
Therefore, to fight the effect of heat soak and the area in which i can actually cool the air - i went with water/meth.

And if neccesary down the track, i could tune it to switch maps if i somehow decide i dont want to run it. I dont think it would of been wise to let a tuner run injection thru the ecu alone, it would be possible, but i can just imagine the bill in the end... plus who has that much experience in Perth? And how many inputs would the ecu need available to wire in such things?
not feesable.
The control system compensates for most if not all the things that can go wrong relating the injection system, in turn shutting the system down fast and safely.
I wouldnt of bothered risking it with a cheapo system tho

Pretty sure alex ran water injection in getagrip too. Don't recall him having any issues with it. I don't see how it's any less safe than a fifth injector, and people don't seem to get blasted for installing one of them.

The difference is Alex ran it as an added safety messure. He didn't cram as much timing in as possible while using it.
