warning to Wai, Huy and any other lacky punting their 05/06STi around - whilst the DCCD is pretty much dickhead proof, when the car let's go, it's gone!!

Get your arse onto the skidpad & learn the limits of your car's handling & how the DCCD reacts when you understeer/oversteer - it's different to way that non-DCCD equiped WRX's react at the limit. In some cases, you need to sink the boot in further to correct understeer, rather than back-off - however if you hold it too long &/or back off at the wrong time - kiss the arse goodbye & brace yourself for the impact. The skidpads the only safe place to try it out.

Understeer.

If the tyres are talking to you like that & the car is trying to push 'straight' rather than turning in then this is understeer. The safest thing to do is back off the throttle a little to try to get your traction back. If it is really severe & this isn't working then you are probably best to 'lock it down' (feet on brake & clutch & stop in a hurry - hopefully not on the curb or in front of a bus!).

Sorry to hear but glad you are safe! Good luck getting the car back together quickly

Heidi

If u damaged the front I would say u understeered into the kurb and not drifted into it. Just dial the power the rear a little more next time... if in doubt, power out!

We've all done it before, took me 3 expensive lessons when I was young to learn I was not Possum Vaughn...... Tough lesson, but it could have been worse - someone could have been hurt, good luck!
