Happened with lights off/on tonight, didn't seem to make a difference. Brand new battery in, issue remains.

Going to rip out the Brant next and replace with different alarm system. I aint giving up on this issue.

I know i've said it a few times before, But i think i've well and truly found the cause of the problem this time.

I noticed while driving sometimes i could smell hot electronics. I had someone else have a sniff and they thought it was nothing.

With not much left else to do, it was time to rip out the Brant system.

Checked out the Alarm Control Module ..





If you look at the two joins to the PCB on the left hand side, they are all burned up and it stinks like burned plastic. I think it's fair to say this was the cause of all the issues.

Hopefully this is now case closed!

Let's hope - either that or your car's got cancer/AIDS...
