Default Missing / Flat on boost ..

Heyas,

Just noticed yesterday the car feels flat on boost, and misses/hesitates. I'm guessing this is going to be AFM related or dirty pod filter? Spark plugs are NGK Iridiums put in on the 100k service.

The car idles fine, no CEL - It's just when it's on/coming on boost where it feels flat and misses. I have put a clean batch of 98 in, So i don't think it's fuel. Car has 120k on it and booked in for a service next week.

Is it 207 time? What do ya reckon.

Cheers

Drives fine mate - Just when on boost

Has a Walbro pump in it, heard it's pretty uncommon for them to fail. Was put in a year ago roughly.

Check your boost hoses for any cracks and make sure all hoses are fitted nice and tight.
Do you have an oiled pod filter?

APS CAI - K&N Filter on the end of it i think. Was cleaned a few services ago using the K&N recharge kit.

AFAIK it wasn't overoiled, people servicing it were aware of the AFM issues on the older wrxies.

Will check hoses now ..

All boost/vacuum lines appear to be ok. Pushed them all in nice and tight. I did notice that the metal rings which secure the silicone intake came loose about 4 weeks ago ..

Tightened them all up and made sure there are no leaks in the intake post AFM.

Gonna take it out now and see what the go is.

Looks like one of the round clamps which was securing a section of silicone pipe from the far end of the CAI to the beginning of the silicone intake pipe to the turbo was secured in a way which was allowing the turbo to suck in air post-afm.
