My car still has this problem. Going in for another look on Monday. I have a funny feeling it's to do with my waterspray/hobbs pressure switch as the car begins to miss as soon as the waterspray kicks in.

Mine was doing something similar- was a dodgy ignition lead. Might be a quick swap out with a different set to check its not that.

i had a similar problem recently, would only boost to 13psi, after thinking i had a blocked cat, then changed the plugs, I found i had a split in my silicon y pipe, hard to see as it was under the cooler and it was opening up under boost, got a nice sti ally one on there now & it feels great boosting to 17 again

Yer this is worse .. Just fuckin cuts out basically like a cylinder isn't firing or something, but it idles fine and starts up fine and everything. Something electrical now i believe.

Have you cleaned the AFM yet? more than likely the problem, get some "contact cleaner" & give it a good squirt.

I had a similar problem and was told to look at the spark plugs, ignition leads, coil pack, intercooler + piping + boost lines for leaks etc. After inspecting/replacing all of the above it ended up being the AFM.

Yeah i am still a little suss about the AFM as well. I guess it's still possible that the AFM is causing this issue. I doubt it's the plugs etc etc as they are fairly new.

I don't have the dodgy AFM's which come on the GC8's though so I am still leaning towards an electrical fault with the waterspray setup.
