Wait, you don't think they're safe? Or you can't handle a car well enough to go around a corner? Two very different situations. I know I've never had any trouble steering a falcon through a corner.

Im thinking driving in the rain, the extra traction of the wrx is nicer than sliding sideways around a corner in an XR6. My current car is an XR6, and its been out sideways a few times accidently, the rear wheels just sometime lose traction when I rev a little too high..but I dont know what the traction control is like in the rain for an XR6T..

Ha yeah my mate had owned a rex, had a steer of another mates worked XR6 Turbo and put her into a pole. I think he's still paying him off.
As I've just bought a bike for the summer my MY99 wont be getting much use so I've put an add on gumtree if your interested. http://perth.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-V...AdIdZ183272418

Go book yourself some advanced driving courses would be my say... Any car factory stock or even not so factory stock have the tendancy to step out on you and the only thing that's gonna keep you on the road is your own knowledge and ability to drive

Do what I did.
Save a few extra thousand and buy a bugeye, not too expensive because not as wanted, but it has the nicer body shape, has a nicer interior and seats and you will be a happy camper, plus your car wont look 20 years old :P
Don't do what I did.
Buy the first car you see because it looks nice.. Would have saved a good $4k if I looked around.

Power is pretty good too, plus the verso tune is cheap and easy. I have an sti tmic, fuel pump, full exhaust, intake and a retune. 189hp at the hubs.. it's more than enough power for a younger driver and only a few thousand spent. Even though its only as fast as my friends stock 04 wrx.. I hate that!
