I'd also note the km traveled on the car before the engine was replaced.
thats quite a good way to put it.
It seems the general consensus is for me to include the warranty motor change in the ad...

Mention it, the dealer who did it and the extended warranty from it.

Anyone investigating will notice the engine number had been changed.

Don't mention it.. It was fixed under warranty, not for any issue other than the original being faulty.

cheers
Can you please explain the difference between the stock EJ257 and the engine provided by Subaru under warranty? thks

All 2010 Sti's have a nitrided crank. City Subaru were sent a motor from subaru aus and it was the latest 2010 motor.

the engine number had to be changed with licensing department and subaru would have the new number in their records. City subaru didn't make any note of the change in my service manual, they said just to bring it in when the next service is due like normal.

How many kms on the og motor?

If its say 10,000kms as an example I reckon they should provide some kind of note in the logbook as it won't be at the actual kms on the new engine for the servicing schedule.
