I used to do it with my NA GX all the time. The zorst tone was enough to set off car alarms.

My young kids at the time used to love it, would count and see how many we could set off every time we went to a multi story/ underground carpark.

Doesn't happen with the new Liberty.

I used to drive home past a car that must have had a sensitive alarm, every day at 5:45ish I would pass this car and the alarm would go off. Eventually, the owner would wait out the front at the same time so he could disarm the car, as he saw me coming, to prevent it going off...

sometimes if i back in my garage my brothers monaro goes off, (its pretty sensitive) so i always drive in forwards.
i also worry about scorching the wall, as i rev to 8k, and dump it, to warm it up in the mornings.....
