Google is pretty useful but I'll help here a bit. A bar is an atmosphere at sea level, being 100 kilopascals or approx 14.5 psi.

As such, "smash in 2 bar" means two atmospheres or 200 kpa or 29 psi. This is also, gauge pressure not absolute pressure. Absolute pressure equals atmospheric pressure plus gauge pressure. So, 2 bar equals an absolute manifold pressure of 300 kpa.

I think ...

Stock is approximately 14psi (.9 bar).

DO NOT run more than this without a tune or your dakdak will go BOOM!

P.s it has factory boost control if it's stock.

PPS use the search function, this topic has been covered 100,000,000,000,000 times before.

factory fuel cut is around 1.2 bar of boost

i would recommend an ecu if you want to push it past that.

^^^ In all fairness running more than 1.2/1.3 bar on the stock TD04 hairdryer is a waste of time.

1 bar (14.5psi) is factory. You will require a retune of your ecu or a replacement and an upgraded fuel pump. Tune to a peak of 20psi. The pure physics of the factory turbo (td04) will cause it to taper fairly quickly. This will net you an honest 25% increase in power.

A subi mechanic saying 12 psi? They aren't a Subaru mechanic then!

Do not change your boost until you get a tune done. They will set the correct boost for your car.

Stock boost is 14psi peak. Leave it there!
