hmmm ok, so it seems that the 5 (and 6) speed are all about the same as mine. except mister two's RS - but seriously who can argue with the awesomeness of an RS!

i was under the impression (perhaps naively) that the 6th gear would take the revs down or is that more an altered diff ratio result?

I havent gone over 75km in past 1 month so I cant remember.
05 STi 6 speed short ratio - in 6th Gear
100k/hr>>>2,800rpm
110k/hr>>>3,050rpm
120k/hr>>>3,300rpm

with 225/45/17"

Anyone able to shed some light on why there might be differences.
Mine's definitely 2500-2600 at 100km/h (On PFC handcontroller when i had it, and on dash)
Rolling diameters on rims/tyres is standard.

Ill get a more accurate reading on the way home from work today.

Im running Standard Version6 STi 6 Spoke Rims with Standard Profile Dunlop Sport tyres.
