Just a quick update,
wheels are sorted for now, found a set i am happy to roll with (pun intended) until i can afford some nice enkei's.
More interestingly, i was doing some research on the half-cut, i threw some of the codes off the plates that are riveted to the strut towers (are these called compliance plates??) & according to the internet's, my half-cut is from a 09/96-08/97 WRX STi Version 3 V- Limited Wagon (is this the 555 edition, as it has the 53c colour code).
Would any of you guys know what difference's (if any?) this has to a normal WRX STi in terms of driveline, electronics etc.
cheers
josh

No, & no panels on there.

You got the rear loom with the cut?
Want to swap it for a rear loom from a V3 STI sedan?
Not a lot of difference between the two, just lengths of the wiring but mainly the position of the wiring for the rear wiper.

Fair enough, it may seem like a stupid question, but why did Subaru bother releasing a 'limited addition' if they made no changes- I would of thought at least the interior would be different?

If that was in reference to my reply, I don't know the differences made to a v-limited. I was only referring to differences in wiring between sedan and hatch.

I have heard that some V3 STI's had a dual board Ecu. Seagull was the one that told me about them. I think they had a more aggressive tune. Sounds like what I would expect from a v-limited.

Ahh, okay, yes I thought it didn't sound right tht there would be no differences...
With regards to wiring, I only got the front half of the loom with the STi cut, will be using the RX rear half loom.
Small update:
Half-cut compression tested (150 @ all four cylinders) and running prior to being delivered safely along with the car to the guys at STechnic to begin the magic! Exciting times
