You don't want to buy other peoples problems, but want to put a wrecked 02 sti into your car?

No make-a de sense there.

Get a 6 speed - no 5 speed is worth putting in. Try Kris at Rising Sun if you can't find any local.

If you want a stronger engine, install a EJ207 shortblock.

any one can help you with a short block , get any subaru expert to do it for you, s technic, maximums, tony flood, a short block will cost yo unear on 3k plus your gasket kit, bolt your shit on and off you go.

Will a short block give much more then a regular engine? or are they just a shit load stronger? anyone here have any personal experince with them and using your own headers?

Every STI from 02-05 have an ej207 they are proven to be very strong when tested well. They don't mind boost or abuse. Best of the subaru 2l

You won't make any more power swapping to a EJ207.

Power will come from new turbo, and smashing heaps of boost in since the EJ207 can handle a lot more.
