Taken the WRX across the Nullabor 11 times, from memory the only spot I couldn't get 98 was at Border Village. Take two jerry cans and just fill up every single time you pass a station. I tend to get very good economy across the 'bor, so it's not like putting around town all day. Only thing that can screw with all this is that one year in particular when it was very hot we had to wait out the evening and fill up the next morning due to not being able to pump fuel up from the tanks, or something like that.

If you plan on using octane booster you may as well put this in your tank...

Just to be clear. OCTANE BOOSTER = BAD

I have seen oil turn to jelly due to a particular fuel additive, but that was in an E85 run motor. Other than that one instance, I'm not sure if science or folklore.

I did this trip half way through the year and you will find a servo every 200Kms roughly and most of them have 98 fuel. I did it with no jerry cans and just filled up at every opportunity and made it easy.

all those trip planners are useless (or I am at using them) only give locations within the CBD not along the whole route.

Route plan from Perth to Coral Bay.
