York cruise was run affiliated with Wrx club of WA I think. Hope it's on again as it is one of the best cruises.

Just need an event or two to get people out and into it.

Is there any harm in a person stepping up an organising an event under the PWRX banner? How about a Summer Cruise in Jan 2016?

Or a show and shine day?

Or a photo shoot day?

These aren't hard to organise, just requires someone with enough interest to plan it.

Know the feeling.. Have been on a cruise with WRX club of WA, really nice guys, genuinely knowledgeable about Subarus, really easy going culture.

Went to sell a few things on SOWA and got flamed to high hell about a whole stack of things.. will be staying here I think (Now I have two WRX's! Bugeye + 2015)

Please reinvigorate Pwrx... too many people giving the subies bad names out there

What about trying to get a stand at whiteman park classic car show, would happily show my gc and don't be put off by the " classic" meaning old stuff. Every year it has a splattering of new HSV's and XR's

As stated above, SOWA on Facebook has grabbed most of the young'uns new to all things Subaru and has taken away from potential new members on here. Almost a good thing to be honest, because the page is rife with fuckwits. As most of us know, fuckwits have never lasted long on this forum. That SOWA page is excellent banter fodder and that's about it. The good kids on SOWA find out about this page anyway and have ended up here. Tome, Jack Dicks-on, etc. a couple of other lurkers.

Quite a few of us who have been on Perth-WRX for a while created another group/page on Facebook and have managed to keep aforementioned fuckwits out of it (not Tome and Jack!). Serious questions, serious answers, knowledgeable people and an aim much like this thread - to keep a community going with the right things in mind - motorsport and coming together at some stage for some motorsport viewing, a cruise, a feed, etc.

For those who don't like or use Facebook, it would be fine to use for a couple of groups and a small selection of friends/family. At the end of the day you're in complete control of the people on your list and the groups/pages you join. If you keep it to a minimum you won't come across numpties. If you're like me and can't help but cross paths with stupid people, then you'll add all sorts of pages just to "people watch" and to drop the occasional patch of vaginal sand.

Once my backyard is complete in my new(ish) place, I might consider hosting a BBQ one evening, say after a track day, cruise or motorsport viewing. A shopping centre is currently being built across the road and will be handy for not only food, but parking (Coles and Liquorland 150 metres away!).
Well summed up Craig but I did originate from antilag and have pretty much just migrated back.

The problem with P-WRX is the general lack of commitment to socialise in real life.

I have always struggled to get members from behind the screen to come to a BBQ / Boobies / pizza night

On antilag they sell out in hours............

Prove me wrong P-WRX and show up in numbers to Craig's BBQ

I would be happy to help out in any form. I'm 33 as well and still love going to cruises. I just don't seem to have anything common with 20yr olds - we're at different stages in our lives and tend to stay clear of them. I for one would like a photo shoot evening- something I could purchase and frame as a memory of my Subaru when I finally do move on from my GC8...even a drag night would be awesome- would like to have some drags (legal type of course) with some of the lightly modified perthwrx members...
