I think it is a good idea.

Only if they also ban cigarettes, and completely outlaw alcohol.

Some people use these things in moderation, and use these things with a concern for theirs and others health/safety. But a minority doesn't. So it should all go - it's the only answer.

Cheers,
Nik

Overusage of the computer is also bad for your health. So is macdonalds, breathing in Car fumes so on so forth. Where does it stop though!?

I think mking p-platers nervous 24/7 about losing a point is more dangerous than some good road training. Like how to stop, swerve to avoid, safe speeds and distances. We all know these things aren't done right.

On your way to work today look at any p-plater you see, watch them do this. green light, cars moving etc, speed up to car in front of them, sit way to close, then when the car in front hits the brake lights, sount the time until they hit their brakes and how hard they hit them. One example of how they are taught shortcuts designed at passing a stagnant test. *please pay attention to the traffic and down rear end somebody watching p-platers today *

I think we need better training a dynamic tests, that change and can test 25 of 100 things for example. So kids can't learn how to just pass the test!

i think the programme would achiebve its aims of reducing p plater deaths because there would be no p platers onb the roads! lets face it, even the best of us make mistakes but should that cost us our licences? when will the government allow people to grow up. its like when you started to walk and you fell and hurt yourself, then your mum told you you could never walk again. accidents happen!
if a p plater is caught doing something blatantly reckless then ok punish them, but for a stupid oversight a $100 fine educates you pretty well not to do it again

the good old days when the local policeman came round and said "its about time you got your license" because you'd been driving around for 3 years anyway
