The Brutal Truth About A1RM!
Quote:
I use A1RM on the track/street on a heavy arse underbraked car.

****ing brilliant, not sure how anyone drives a car without them, come into their own in the triple digit speed range.

brake dust is a royal mofo, but that's life i guess. a stock euro car with tuv standard pads dust just as bad and they are oem and don't stop as good.

i hear good things about ds2500 but at double or triple the price, forget that, the a1rm will last 3 track days for me.

not even harsh on rotors like some people toss on about, the pads are rather soft imho.

Hey Boys i forgot to get back to you after the IP nationals last year.

Ran your pads on some stock STi Rotors.

3 12 lap races and got 18 laps out of 20 for the final before I had a front wheel bearing collapse.

Will recommend them to anyone who asks...great product. AAA+ value for money

A1RM Pads Excel!
Quote:
I don't normally write reviews, unless they excel or end up at the other end of the scale.

On my second set of A1RM pads now with just a 324mm rotor upgrade. Gotta say they're endurance on the track in terms of fade is exceptional. Very little fade after some heavy laps and great peddle feel all round. Not too hard on the rotors, me running out of pad at the end of the straight did a hell of a lot more damage than the pads ever did

I did chew through them though, lasted 2 track days and the odd cruise in between. But in my opinion out performed a lot of high $$ pads in terms of feel and fade, so all in all an exceptional pad for it's cost.

On the street they perform as a street pad should, good enough while cold. I drive like a grandma when the car is cold anyway.

And super quick service...next day delivery from qld to sydney...and I only ordered them at like 3pm! Massive kudos to Greg!!

Ok - Just want to know - What are peoples experiences regarding noise of these A1RM pads? Put it this way - We put them in today (brand new front/rear) and we thought we had them in the wrong way around - This may be just circumstancial to my setup however, so hence asking ..

I have freshly machined DBA4000's up front, and brand new DBA T3 slotted up back. Perhaps i need to let them settle in a bit. With out a doubt, they are an intense pad. They look like they are eating my rotors and definitely sound like it. Will let them sit for few days and will show you my front rotors.

Maybe they are mistakenly the next ones up from A1RM? Is there a special bed in procedure I am missing? Was it a bad idea to mix brand new rotors (effectively, with machined fronts) with brand new pads?

Just checking as i feel as im driving on a full race pad.

I have them on my car.
Just fronts atm,

they are good. i found when bedding them in was a couple of proper big stops helped dramatically. it didnt take too long for them to feel good though.

I have them in front and rear.
Done multiple zig-zags/hills runs, skidpan and collie with them.
Never had a moments worry from them. Not even a squeak.

I have DBA650S on the front, standard solids on the rear.

DBA actually recommend bedding in new discs with old pads and vice versa, although most times I have bought new of both. I don't think its really an issue. What bedding in procedure did you follow ? and how many kms have you done on them so far Rich ?
