Smile First "Real" Car.

Hi all! JP here,

Just replaced my 06 Accent (that's right, a Hyundai) with an 05 Impreza S WRX STI and I'm already in love!

Got it at a great deal with 75,000 on the clock, had a pre inspection done beforehand and there's a bit of work that needs done (couple of leaks and possibly need to replace the radiator) but apart from that she's a beaut!

Look forward to getting to know everyone, any tips would be greatly appreciated

Good purchase JP, I have always had a soft-spot for the peanut sti, especially in black! My main tip would be to leave the car as is for at least a few months (maybe longer seeing as you came from an accent ) just to get a proper feel for it and how to drive it etc before you start looking at modding it (if you go down that path).
There is a cruise on the 15th of March, which would be a great way to meet people and enjoy driving your car spiritedly at the same time. Enjoy and try not let the keyboard warriors get to you, it's your car so do with it as you please

Thanks for replying guys ^_^

Yeah I intend on keeping it stock, more personal preference then anything else. Not planning on taking it to the track or anything like that (at least not just yet) so no real need. I wholeheartedly agree with you regarding practice Top-Deck, bit different to the Accent

As for the cruise, if I'm not working I should be able to head down! Time will tell.

Oh does anyone here do their services etc through "S Technic"?

Who wants to take bets on how long it will be stock for? :P

Good on you though, I prefer as close to oem as possible too. If you can achieve your goals with oem parts, by all means

S-Technic are popular choice. More info on workshops here: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/mechanic...workshops.html

Very nice car.. congrats.

Just for gods sake learn to drive it properly.. It's a very different beast than your previous car and we don't want to see you wrapped around a power pole.
