If he had a 225/45R17 the tyre wall would be flat with rim face there would be more clearance and he might not have needed the roll (although I would rather spend $132 then heard the sound of rubbing tyres).

Also depends on ride height, because stock height should not cause any rubbing unless you need 250KG of cement from bunnings. If you are on a lowered spring (10mm - 15mm) You still should be fine, but past that point you will be getting close to the guards when the suspension compresses.

my only problem with them atm is the inner guard liners are disappearing 😂 and not even mad ahha

Standard is 14-ish, there's horsepower for you to gain if you can get this sorted.
I have a boost controller on the way.
Because it's at 11 psi could there potential leakage?

Maybe? Or it's picked up a fault code and is pulling back boost? I'm not a mechanic but I suspect it may be missing the boost restrictor pill. A boost controller should remove the need for it and help you wind up the boost.

Have a quick read of this handy page...

What does the gauge read on idle? 0 psi, or is it into the vacuum range? If it reads 0, you have it teed into the wrong line.

Worth spending more on tyres than the Achilles you mentioned earlier, if you want affordable but with good performance look into a Kumho KU39 or similar

Hi Patch. The boost gauge reads -20 vac on idle and revs to 0 no load. And hits 11 on load and stable.

Thanks for advice on tyres. I'll take a look. The only reason I want the Achilles is that I can get mates rates for them

The Achilles are not bad, they are just not the best.

The dry grip is quite good actually, but they are a little loud and the wet grip is lacking.

Except the price. They unfortunately can't beat that. I'm running the re002's and they're awesome, but I can't feel much difference between them and the Nexen n'fera su1's.

Run re002s on one car ATM and re003s are a much better tyre . Re001s and re002s were similar but the re003s are much gripper and perform better in the wet . There cheap as chips every 3 months Bridgestone keep having the buy 3 get one free . I'm happy to pay s bit more for a quality tyre . Fuck running cheap shit . Same logic as people spending big on wheels then skimp on tyres . Or run shit pads in their brembos .

Everyone focuses all this attention on engine mods and dyno sheets . Better quality tyres are the best bang for buck mod you can do .
