its just the stock box, holds up so far without a hitch, its a 1998 shell from JWS, Was going to part it out but we will end up keeping everything, but if its fixable we will fix it and dad will put a cage in it as a spare shell, as he says "its not the last time youll crash it"

The barrier you hit is one of the ones that doesn't need to be there IMO.

+1. It's there to stop people chopping up the grass, yet they don't have any to stop people flying into the canteen on the same corner.

Some plastic ones would be suffice to keep everyone on the road. At the end of the day no one wants to bend a fender which the plastic ones will do.

It doesn't Fred, however too many people have been running very wide there and the Motorplex wasn't happy about their grass being absolutely destroyed there.

At the end of the day, whether or not it needs to be there, nor the reason why its there is irrelevant - the fact is that it is there and you drive accordingly. Its no different to other concrete barriers or walls that need to be there. Its just unfortunate that Todd made a mistake there; thankfully it only hurt the hip pocket and the ego!

Exactly what franz said, and to be honest they said we don't have to go full on but it was my choice, I messed up, it could of been worse, I could of kept going into the IT forks behind it, I still had fun, dad had an awesome time aswell which was good to see him laugh. Franz was more then helpful on the day aswell so thanks for the chat earlier on franz. Good to seen the top drivers out there without the arrogance

Is that stated somewhere?

It was a great night. We had a ball. Very well organised.
Thanks to JWS for sorting the car/tyres out for us.
Am glad the driver/co-driver walked away from the prang.
Looking forward to the next round.

Supp regs for the event are quite clear on how damage is dealt with.

From section 16:
"Crews involved in accidents resulting in property damage are advised that they may be required to pay up to the first $5,000 of any claim to rectify such property damage. Refer Appendix I of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport for further details regarding insurance cover.

Any crew that damages any property will be required to leave their Credit Card Details prior to leaving the Motorplex. They will then be notified of the cost to repair the damage and will have the option of paying by the Credit Card or transferring the money to the event Organisers."
