Eating the food at the motorplex is the most dangerous thing you can do there.

I need to get onto some of those AO50's I think. I cheaped out and bought some tarmac rally tyres and they just don't get sticky enough there. I drove better than I ever have last time but couldn't go any faster than the Dunlop street tyres I had before.

I looked into those when you told me about them. As in I had a squiz online to find some info on them.
Here's another stupid question, but are you certain of what compound you bought? I remember there was one harder compound for longer tarmac stages and the softer compound for sprints such as the Rallysprint.
I'm sure you got the softer one but surely they're not that rubbish? Maybe bought/had shipped the harder compound by mistake?
In any case, what will you use this Thursday?

I bought the 'Meee-Jims' on advice from Alister himself. He told me they only had the one compooond and they were Greeeeet!

I'll be using them again this Thursday as I've run out of time to get anything new. I did several laps at RAC last Friday with the WRX club and they didn't get any better/worse with use. I asked Jamie Lister to do some laps and he came to the same conclusion. Lots of fun/drifto but not the kind of grip needed for short sharp sprinting.

I am hoping to make it down for a little while for this round, just to catchup with the usual crowd.
Doctor/Physio wont let me race for at least 6 months yet.

Motorplex food is very helpful at increasing your power to weight ratio as the night goes on

Day over after 1 run due to an oil leak under the turbo, capped off a pretty poor day with lots of little things going wrong.

Morale of the day, dont pick up 2 50 cent pieces and give one to your co driver as a lucky token, they have been returned to where they came from.

Don't get disheartened Tim....at least you didn't break something after 4 stages of a 2 day event! Good luck with the oil leak issue.
Looks like you will have to get your intercom amp replaced under warranty though...
At least you and Sam got out there for a taste of this style of event.
