He bought a brand new set of WRC spec tarmac tyres in October last year.

Looking at the entry list this is going to be the most competitive round so far.
Greenham and Lowry in their 500hp stroker evo time attack cars will be the men to beat then it will be the best of the rest.
Hamilton and Douglas in plastic fantastic 2 will be out for the first time this series.
Jason Whitburn in my old evo 6.5 running about 5th fastest last round before frying the clutch so with more seat time he will be up there.
Matty O got some new brakes and rims for the spec C.
Also Clarke and White in there Evo's will be on it.
It will be interesting to see how the R35 GTR's of van Loenhout and Conacher go. These guys are front runners at Targa West but I think the course layout might be a bit tight for them.
Jamie
Yeah ill be in the new Targa spec evo 5 to get some practice in. Going to miss the stroker engine i reckon

Going to run Rallynav lite next Thrusday on my new Ipad. (thanks again to Sam)

Hopefully this will help write the notes for the night, making it easier and quicker.

Unfortunately this system will mean that we need to abandon our current clock system of note taking, ie a 9 left is a 90 degree left turn, and replace it with the 1-6 left right more standard system, more playstation/standard system in note taking. (it also supports 1-10 system for corners)

Who came up with that idea? Does that mean if you came up to a hairpin it would be a 15 or 16?

Loeb uses something similar but it is very intricate. My advice would be to use 1-10 as it cuts out all the halves.

Brendon,

Our system that were had started to use is really just based on a clock face with 12 straight ahead, 3 is 90 degree right and 9 is a 90 degree left, so fairly similar to the 1-6 system.

Also had the added benefit of confirming the direction, ie if the call was a 9 right, then something was wrong.

A hairpin would be 6 left or 6 right, bit of a chink in the methodology.

But as we have only had one run using this system, won't be hard to change.

Soooo looking forward to coming down to this Jan round I'm lucky enough to have scored the co-driver spot for Duane Joubert in his orange AE86, so will be an awesome introduction to the series Also can't wait to see the many Subies that will be there, especially Jamie's talents behing the wheel...never realised how unadultered his car is (until reading his new intro thread), remarkable the speed he can get from it! Will be good to compare his lines to the other guys
