Realistically if you did it in 5th gear you still cant compare it to any run on another dyno anyway so why do so many who get tuned on a hub dyno seem to bang on about running in 4th gear being an issue.

Have seen a few dyno sheets from over east done in 3rd gear. If they got the tune right doing it in 3rd then what difference does it make.

The difference would be, making an inflated claim about How Much Horsepower you got in a thread...

gears make no difference, providing the ratio of engine rev vs wheel speed is known.

plus the same ramping/loading.

So many variables, so little understanding.

Peak power is only 1 part of the equation. Torque value and more importantly area under the curve is what really tells the tale of performance. This is where things like a drag mph really tells what 'power' the car is making.

For the online bragging rights as to who's dick is bigger, running a car in a lower gear, fudging things like the intake temps etc etc are all done to produce the highest power value. This is 'cheating'. Will it effect how your car drives or performs, no, its just for the online stroking rights.

just for kicks.
Tenagah dyno will read lower than ASG anywhere between 5% to 15% according to Abdus - main 'car' variables are gear, hub vs tyre, size of rims, and tyre pressure.

I don't think Tenagah have a dyno anymore
They were packing it up 2 weeks ago.

According to the treadmill dyno, i have less than 1hp.

Eric, pretty sure our cars are pretty much bang on in terms of power/torque

Just got the results back from getting my car dynoed, will get the dyno graph emailed to me soon from rigoli's to post it up.

Was on a roller dyno with 20 inch wheels on and through a 4EAT auto gearbox on C16 fuel- made 371 kilowatts or 497 horsepower at the wheels. The first dyno run it made 366 kilowatts would luv to see what the numbers would be on a hub dyno when it comes back.

yes it has taken bloody ages to get this far with the car but as ive found out from my other builds with cars etc... u never get a smooth run, theres always teething problems and it does take time, this one took much more time than expected!! the pump fuel tune (bp 98)it made 300 kilowatts or 400 horsepower at the wheels. So i am happy with the results considering the loss you get from an auto box compared to having a manual:-)
