Found out the other day a mate had a G-tec ( older one with the one line red numbers ).

Did about 6 - 8 power runs ( Private road of course ) both in 2nd and 3rd got a best result of 298 HP ATW in 3rd and an average of 290 between both gears.

3rd was consistently better than 2nd but not by much ( think it goes through 2nd to quick to hit full boost )

Anyway works out to 216 KW ATW which I think is almost bang on with Jaron.

Considering Drag times an MP/H That is what I am going to claim. Scary to think no air going through the TMIC on a dyno could equate to 20 KW but looks like the case to me. I like the sound of 216 better than 196.

If anyone is going to argue about the weight to get a result I used 3400 Pounds which will be somwhere within 20 KG and WILL be on the low side which should make the power figures lower NOT higher if here is any error due to this. Car has been over the scales at the Plex so I do know the weight at 1/4 tank.

I wouldn't be worried too much about the weight of the car you put in, more the accuracy of the actual G-meter.

Some people like them, others don't. Personally I think they are only good for giving a rough indication only.

277.5 hp
had a few extra things done (port stock headers, up pipe, P20 housing and rotating front turbo housing to get rid of bend in cooler pipe) not much increase in power but torque is more and has a much nicer curve

Ummmm...may I ask what are those trough's at about 4000 and 5500 RPM...? Because they don't look to good!

Hmmm...ok it was the old graph I was looking at...but they still don't look too good...

It's a pretty safe tune and as you can see from the graph it's quite a smooth curve. The car drives a lot smoother than with the factory ECU.

P.S. Mods are 3"TBE, Cheapo pod filter, VF34, Link plus other minor stuff.
