The PE VMIC kits are rubbish, Mixja on Rexnet had one and replaced it with a APS FMIC.The APS spooled quicker and produced more power/torque.

We know that the PE modified IHI VF series turbos are shite, but I'm still keen to see how an RX6 would go...I might be waiting a while though, because no one is keen to fork out near 6k on such a gamble.

so it sounds like your not keen on spending more than 2000ish on a turbo?

if thats the case, TD06-20g...dunno how it would go with a top mount though? It would be alright I guess.

the turbo joe has currently would be well sufficent for a top-mount,

at the end of the day, read the compressor maps on the turbos your looking at, you cant defeat physics- so dont assume a big turbo is guarenteed to give you a great result, very often big turbos underperform the compared to their hype, a good street car has plenty of area under the curve, not 6000 rpm of lag.

Forced Performance sell it..

www.forcedperformance.net

I got mine landed for around $1800 at the time (2 years ago)

No laggier than my old VF22, and I'd be interested to see it perform with a TMIC. Its a very torquey turbo too.

Made 340ps on my EJ207 on 20psi, with heaps more in it...I reckon it'll crank out close to 380-400ps with the correct supporting mods, whilst still retaining excellent response.

i dont know about that joe. $1399US is $1845AUS. then you got to pay freight and then import tax. plus i'm not sure if the guy needs the oil line which is another $70US. all up mine coz me around $23 - 2400 AUS. i got mine before xmas last year. but has been worth every cent so far.
